🐻 DANGEROUS WILDLIFE 🐻 The Smoky Mountains has black bears, northern copperhead snakes, timber rattlesnakes, wild boar, bobcat, and- although not 100% verified- it is widely believed there are some ultra-elusive mountain lions that make their way through the night woods! The snakes can be poisonous but not deadly, and bears are always avoidable with good decision making.
